"Ponder" The Artful Hare Project

Created 2018

Like previous projects such as Art in the Sunshine (2007) and Glyph Project (2017), this earth work expands on Hodge’s determination to intersect art with the general public during their day to day activities. A sign is located at the public sidewalk identifying the art and providing its specifications.

This project was a study on the meaning of colors and symbols in our blended western society. Do we believe as our ancestors did or are we developing a new way.....It began with a survey and will result in a multi-media exhibit.

Art in the Sunshine Project Completed April 2007

More than 100 artists created over 300 works of art which were then exhibited on 20 miles of roadway for 3 months.
